Chapter 3 ~Rosie Taffy~ Gen 1.

January 9, 2012

So a lot of things have happened since the last time I spoke to you guys. For one, A few months ago Mint had finally asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes, of course, and we just moved to our new home in Frosted Plains. His sister Topaz decided to tag along and join us.

She had grown into a lovely young lady and her personality had changed a great deal. She was now sweet and loved to be around people, but she did have her moments where she would lock herself away for a long period of time in her room. Earlier this week Topaz came home with a cat she had found roaming the streets. Poor little thing, it was so dirty and it looked like it hadn’t eaten in days. The little guy was just the sweetest thing, very playful aswell.

I would spend my time either painting in the art room or writing in my bedroom. Both things I enjoyed greatly. Now I will say I wasn’t that good at painting, no matter how much Mint wants to tell me otherwise. On the other hand, my writing skill was greatly improving. I had written a short book just for Mint. I wasn’t used to writing scary stories, but I gave it a shot anyways and it turned out nicely.

“What is my lovely girlfriend working on now? Another painting I see.”

“Yeah. It’s not very good.”

“Oh hush, you’re a great painter.”

“You’re to sweet you know that?”

“Haha. I love you..”

“And I love you.”

“Ha..I hope you wont be mad at me..”

“What? Why would I be mad?”

“Well..Let me show you..”

Mint grabbed my hand and led me to the bedroom. I wondered what in the heck could be in there that would make me mad.

When he pushed open the bedroom door and pointed to the small ball of fuzz laying on the bed I squealed a little bit. How could he think I would be mad about that? I mean it’s a puppy, they are to cute.

“Oh Mint! How could I be mad about this?!”

“I…well..I don’t really know. I thought you might be upset that I brought him here. He was just laying in the road so I grabbed him..I couldn’t just leave him there. He could have gotten hit.”

“Mint that’s so sweet! We will surley take the little pup in.” I squealed and jumped into his arms.

“Great! I’ve always wanted a dog.”

I hopped out of his arms and quickly made my way to the bed where the dog layed. I scooped it into my arms and gave it a big hug.

“Welcome to the family little guy.”

“Um..honey. It’s a girl.”

“Oh..”

~~~~
“Well babes. I just got the pup all cleaned up and I put out Banana’s old pet bed in the living room for her to use. What should we do now?”
“Well..I have one Idea..”
“Oh? And wha- mmmmph”
“Do you want to do this..?”
“Yes.I do.”
Now I will not go into anything about what happened. But I will say that it was amazing. Gosh..I’m such a lucky woman.
Chapter 2 ~ Rosie Taffy ~ Gen 1
December 18, 2011
*knock knock*
“Coming!”
I had a feeling I knew who it was knocking at my door. The only person who cared to pay a visit to welcome me into the neighborhood, Mint. I pushed away from my computer desk and hurried over to the door, careful not to trip over the rug that way laying in the middle of the room. I was such a cluts sometimes..
I could see his face in the window and a smile spread across my face. I reached down and turned the door knob opening the door and invited him in. He smiled at me and pulled out a beautiful bunch of red roses. I absolutely loved red roses.
“For you. I didn’t know what color you liked..so I just got you these. I hope you like them.”
“Oh Mint they are beautiful! Thank you so much. How sweet of you.”
“Roses just so happen to be my favorite type of flower. Plus they will add some color to my house, I swear I’m getting sick of the whole white thing my mother had going on.”
“Haha. Yeah it will. I was thinking..maybe we could go to the part or the beach and hang out for a bit. The part has added some water slides…unless you’re not into that kind of thing.”
“No actually..that sounds fun. I never did that kind of stuff when I was a kid..”
“Well if you stick with me I’ll show you some stuff that I find really fun.”
“I’d like that…”
“Okay well let’s go!”
“Yes! Let’s!”
I never really had that many friends when I was younger, so having Mint around was..I guess you could say..special.
After gathering our bathing suits and putting them into a bag we headed down to the park to check out the water slide they had. The park was my second favorite place to visit when I was looking for something to do, I loved the bright colors that were in the park and I loved how you could meet the nicest people there… but my favorite place was the beach. No body really went there so it was the perfect place to go when you wanted to go somewhere quiet, plus it was just beautiful.
“The water slide is just over there, let’s get changed and go have fun!”
“Alright I’ll meet you over there then.”
The first person to use the water slide was Mint, and boy did he slide down that thing fast!
“Woo! Come on Rosie! It’s so much fun!”
“Coming!”
Oh my berry! I can not tell you how much fun this is! I can’t believe I missed out on this as a kid..
“Oh wow Mint. You were right it is fun!  Is there anything else here?”
“Hmm..Let’s see..there’s hopscotch.”
“Let’s go do that!”
“Alrighty.”
“Go Rosie!”
This is the only thing I remember doing when I was a little girl. I was never much good at it, turns out I’m still not. I only went two places before messing up. Ugh, this stunk..
“Oh sweet berry! Why is this so hard?”
“Oh don’t worry about it Rosie. You did fine.”
“Yeah thanks..But just watch, you’re going to be better at it than me.”
“We’ll just see about that then missy.”
“Okay here I go! Let’s see who wins.”
I just laughed and watched him quietly. I already knew he was going to beat me, I always get beat at everything.
He only jumped once before losing. I had a slight feeling he only did that to let me win it.
“Oh will you look at that. You won!”
“Oh It looks like I did. Seems like you were right all along.”
I giggled and thought of something else we could go do. The beach!
“Hey Mint how about we go down to the beach. That sounds fun.”
“Oh yeah! Let’s go!”
By the time we got to the beach I was starving. I guess Mint was too because he offered to cook us some hot dogs. Yum!
“Here we go! Enjoy!”
“They look great Mint. Thank you for cooking.”
“No problem Rosie. My pleasure.”
Oh berry he was a great cook. I couldn’t just have one, I had to have more!
“Mint you’re cooking is amazing!”
“You really think so?” A giant smile formed on his face.
“Yes I do!”
“Aww thanks..”
I took a look around and noticed it was starting to get dark outside. I frowned because I knew the day was coming to an end and he’d have to go home soon..I didn’t want this day to end.
“It’s getting dark. You should be getting back to Topaz..”
“Nah she’ll be fine. I left her a note letting her know if I wasn’t home when she got home I was with you. And it’s almost time to watch the stars…”
“Okay. And that sounds nice..”
We waited for it to get a little darker before heading onto the beach and sitting down beside eachother to watch the stars together.
I felt his hand slide on top of mine. My eyes widened a little bit and my heart started to beat slightly faster. I had never done this before in my life.
“Hey Rosie?”
“Yes Mint?” I turned my head to him and smiled.
“I want you to know I had a great time with you today.”
“I did too Mint. You are so much fun to be around..thank you for taking me out. I really needed it.”
The night ended with us watching the start together for the longest time. I was dissapointed to see him go..but I couldn’t wait to see him again. Hopefully soon we could hang out again..I really enjoyed it.
Chapter 1. ~ Rosie Taffy ~ Gen 1
December 16, 2011
I slowly walked down the sidewalk to my new house, the only light I had to guide me was from the street lamps. The cool air chilling me, causing me to wrap my arms around myself. At the time it seemed I was the only thing awake, I heard no noises, saw no one, it was just me. I didn’t know exactly how long I had been at the graveyard, sitting in front of my mother’s grave, but it seemed to be forever. My mother was very close to me, and when she died it felt like a part of me had died along with her.
I stopped in front of a large white house some what placed in the middle of Sugar Valley. I let my eyes scan the yard for a little bit, taking in the beauty of the trees and flower bushes. I half smiled and turned my gaze back on the house and  started walking down the pathway to the porch steps. My shoes making clacking noises as I walked.
I slowly walked up the porch steps causing them to creak loudly under my feet. I sighed and moved across the porch to the large white door and pulled on it. It opened with a creak and cold air rushed out of the house that had gone unused for the past six years. I wasn’t one bit surprised when I took a look at the house and found every single thing in it to be white. White was my mothers favorite color it seemed, she had to have everything that color or she would start to freak out.
I closed my eyes and pushed the thoughts of my mother into the back of my mind, not wanting to start bawling in the middle of the front room. After doing that I lugged myself into the bedroom and headed straight for bed. I would do other things tomorrow, but at the moment the bed was calling my name. I hadn’t gotten one bit of sleep since my mother passed away. I didn’t even bother to change and just fell onto the bed, snuggling into the pillow and falling asleep instantly.
~~~~~~~~

I awoke the next morning to the sound of someone knocking on my door.I got up and didn’t even bother changing, I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and got up to see who it was, I didn’t really know anyone in town..but it might just be a neighbor coming to welcome me into the neighborhood. As I neared the door I could kind of see someone’s hair, it was blue with little patches of green mixed in. I reached out and grabbed the door knob, opening the door slowly.

I was greeted by a man, seeming to be the same age as me. With a teenage girl standing beside him with a scowl on her face.

“Um..Hello…” I raised an eyebrow and looked between the pair.

“Hello. Sorry to bother you but we just thought we would stop by and say hello.” The man said with a large smile on his face.

“…eh.” The young girl muttered. She didn’t seem like a friendly young thing..

“Oh. That would be nice! Please.. come in.”

“Okay.”

“So..not to be rude..but why are you wearing that?” The man asked.

“Oh..this? I was at my mothers funeral and I didn’t bother changing when I got home. I was asleep when you knocked on my door.”

“Oh! I’m so sorry..we didn’t mean to wake you..”

“No. It’s fine don’t worry about it. I needed to get up anyways..”

“Okay good..So what’s your name Miss?”

“Vanilla Rose Taffy. Please just call me Rose. Now if you will excuse me for just a moment I need to go change.”  I said and pushed myself off the couch and began to walk to my bedroom.

“My name is Magic Mint..call me Mint. Okay I’ll wa- I’ll go look for my sister.” He grumbled and got up. “She’s probably causing trouble..”

I hurriedly went into my room and changed into a white dress my mother had given me for my birthday one year. Thankfully it still fit me and I turned and went to walk back to Mint. I only got outside my door when I saw him screaming at his sister.

“Topaz! What have I told you about throwing people’s stuff in the air and trying to catch it?”

“But-”

“No Buts! You could have broken it!I don’t know if you know this but a vase is breakable..”

“Um..excuse me. What’s going on here?” I spoke very quietly, hoping that either one of them heard me.

“Er..My sister was throwing around a vase..I..was stopping her before she broke it.”

“Oh..Okay..”

“Maybe we should go. She need’s to get ready for school anyways..I could come back and talk with you tomorrow if you’d like..” He sighed and told me.

“Okay! Sounds good..I’ll see you then I guess..” I replied back to him. The moment getting more awkward by the minute.

Mint nodded and grabbed his sister Topaz’s arm and headed for the front door. Topaz snatched her arm away and grumbled something, to low for me to hear. Her brother huffed and turned his head to look back at me. He offered me a warm smile then spoke.

“See you tomorrow Rosie..”

“See you tomorrow Mint..” I whispered and they left.
